Day 1: Royal Botanic Garden Sydney – Aboriginal Heritage Tour and Tribal Warrior Cruise

Enjoy breakfast at your Sydney hotel before meeting the Aboriginal Education Officer at The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and going on the Aboriginal Heritage Tour. Enjoy an informative guided tour for an hour and a half where you will uncover the rich Aboriginal heritage of Sydney and the Botanic Garden site.

 This hands-on experience will allow you to share in cultural knowledge, see a range of fascinating artefacts and taste traditional bush foods.

Following the tour, allow at least an hour to wander along the self-guided Aboriginal walk and see the impressive 52-metre interpretive ‘storyline’ which tells the Aboriginal history of Sydney from The Dreaming to the present. The text on the Storyline was compiled from a variety of sources including over 40 interviews with local Aboriginal people.

In two sections of the pathway, figures found in rock carvings in the Sydney area are represented in terrazzo and stained concrete. Enjoy lunch in the gardens and some free time to explore the Botanic Gardens before taking a taxi to Circular Quay in time for an afternoon cruise of Sydney Harbour with Tribal Warrior.
